Members of Cavern Baptist believe and have a clear understanding of salvation that is laid out in these verses from Romans:

Romans 3:10 says "As it is written: "There is none righteous, no, not one"

Romans 3: 23 states "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God"

"But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." This is pointed out in Romans 5:8

In Romans 5: 12, we read "Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned--"

It is stated clearly in Romans 6: 23 that "the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Romans 10: 9 - 11 is clear... "that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.  For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.  For the Scripture says, "Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame."

Finally, Romans 10:13 is triumphant in showing us that "whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved."

Dear Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness.  I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead.  I trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior.  Guide my life and help me to do Your will.  In Jesus Name, Amen
